Photographer’s Note
This bedouin woman was somewhat atypical of what we generally encountered in Jordan. Most people, even souvenir shop owners, are very little pushy.
This women clearly was begging for money, but even she was not pushy nor agressive in any way.
And she attracted attention by playing the flute in the wonderfull decor the Petra site is.

Hi MArc,
Even I know a girl (looks like that of your photo); Having played with the flute gave me a small stone to be kept as mascot!
Great capture, good quality, well done.

Marc: there's is something other-worldly about this image. Perhaps it's the brightness and the shadows. I think your deep DOF does a splendid job of exposing your subject and the landscape. It's another great TE upload without deserved accolades. regards, c
