Photographer's Note
This is a view from the Wadi Rum desert in the South of Jordan. That desert is very appealing with incredible rocks emerging from the sand.
I had a walk waiting for the sunset along a dune and found that camel skull. I guess I stayed something like 30 minutes in front of it trying to create an attracting compo with the sand dunes, the intense blue sky and that large white skull.
The time I spent in that desert was quite short but it was a very good experience to feel the silence in these large spaces at night. In fact, I found the place quite busy during the day but it was a marvel at night. following advices from the son of the Bedouin which hosted my wife and I for the night, I even wake up in the middle of the night to get pictures from the desert under the moonlight : an incredible experience.

The skull is rather gruesome but adds a great focal point to the beautiful desert backdrop. The colours are so rich and warm. I am looking forward to soaking in the atmosphere of this place in a few weeks - thanks for giving me this great preview!

superbes couleurs pour cette scène dramatique de sécheresse extrème.
Bleus et oranges font excellent ménage.
On remarque bien le manque total de possibilité de vie sans eau, pas une herbe.

A remarkable very impressive shot again with well saturated deep coloring, very sober therefore such a strong shot, the skelet hard contrasted in the sand that contrast sowell with its warm color to that blue sky, the rocks at the horizont a nice gabarit in this blue.

Fantastic colours and contrast.
Interesting to see something like a dry twig hanging out of the skull - reminds me of the Camel's advertising campaign (cigarettes).

Great shot!, I loved Wadi Rum and this is a great picture to refresh my memories (still fresh though:-)) Very7 good, strong colours, and I love the compostion with the skull in the foreground.

Magnifique photo. Ça vaut vraiment la peine d'avoir essayé de nombreux points de vue. Celui-ci est une réussite à mon avis. L'angle de vue, à ras le sol ou presque, donne une dimension fort intéressante à cette image. J'aime aussi l'ombre projetée au sol. Les constrastes forts, la combinaison bleu et brun orangé complètent le tableau. Bravo!

This a classical type compostion and well done at that. I like the colors and the contrast in this image. I think the skull dominates just a little too much though, but otherwise, I love it.

Très belle image. La carcasse dans le désert est plutôt classique, mais elle est vraiment bien réalisée. Les couleurs sont très belles avec cette lumière basse, la composition est soignée, c'est du tout beau. Brazvo!

C'est superbe et mystérieux... Entre ce crane désseché et le paysage incroyablement minéral, voilà un univers qui n'est pas fait pour accueillir l'homme... Ou tout au moins, qui ne le laissera pas indifférent. Vu l'émotion qui se dégage de cette image, j'imagine que l'expérience réelle devait être incroyable.
Superbes couleurs et lumière, exacerbées par le polarisant.
