Photographer’s Note

Here is for Luc, following the yesterday photo
After a way of about 1,2km in the Sicq, a small defile between two cliffs, the treasury appears at least.

"A the apogee of its splendour (between IIe century before J.-C. and Ist century afterwards), the city probably counted between 30 000 and 40 000 inhabitants; it is at that time that the nabateans sovereigns made cut in sandstone cliffs of innumerable mausoleums (one deducts some more than 3 000!) with the colossal frontages often inspired of Mesopotamia, of Egypt and ancient Greece."
