Photographer’s Note

This is my largest print i keep in my house..

She is a Bedouine little lady.. she was in the counter of a Jordanian souveniers stall somewhere at the top end of Petra (45 minutes of trekwalk.. its not only the "Treasury" part as people might think about Petra. Its a big place, and there are some hidden places as well :) she had no parents she told me.. probably living with her relatives.. she was running the place..Smart, but very moody and dreamy little kid. she was not interested with me as a customer at all!
:(

(i had a big inner-conflict with myself to post this one to TE or not.. because i really like this shot, and i have a kind of private relationship with it..

But i decided to do this because there is a reason behind it: When i had this slide done as a big print (60 cm to 80 cm.- Velvia) by one of the photography shops in Ankara in '94, the guy asked me if he could keep a print for himself too. I said: "for sure.."

Later on (after a year), when i was in abroad, i learned that this guy actually made lots of prints out of that, and sold them in the city with some good prices (saying that it was taken by an unknown amateur..) Well, it still pi**es me off when i think about it..

For Turkish people: if anyone knows or has seen this image, it is mine for their information, no one else's! Lol)
