Photographer’s Note

I was in Jordan at the beginning of the year. I visited several roman cities, medieval castles, the dead sea and... Petra! Petra is wonderful, but my pictures are not. I'm becoming more and more demanding on my pictures, none seems beautiful enough to be posted here.
This detail belongs to a patterned wall inside one of the Nabatean excavated temples.
Jordan is a real wonder!

A really different and original way of showing one of Petra's main showoff...natural colours.
Really good job in presenting this photo, I have been there, so immediately seeing these colours I looked for the title!
Very good focus and detail.

Marica,

Capturing such details always strikes me as a good idea - and this one is indeed fascinating. You'll never please the majority - keen for the big view - but, perhaps like yourself, I find it harder and harder to bother pressing the shutter to capture the obvious shot.

Boy, Marica, I know how you feel about posting on TE! But this one is wonderful and very nicely presented in the black frame. I'm hoping to get to Jordan soon, so please take the plunge and post some more from there.

Ciao marica,

potresti essere ben più generosa nell'autocriticarti, perchè questo scatto secondo me rivela grandi doti di osservazione, spettacolari le stratificazioni, non è facile distogliere lo sguardo dai monumenti scavati nella roccia.
