Photographer’s Note

Located in the south of Jordan lies the spectacular desert of Wadi Rum. I took this photo just after a snow storm. All of a sudden the sun broke through and the clouds disappeared which provided some wonderful light. This is a scan of a photo taken in 2000.

Hi Simon,

Me again - you have some very interesting shots in your gallery. This is another well captured photo. I really like the layered effect presented by the colours of the desert, mountain and sky - contrasting yet complimentary. I also like the sense of loneliness that this image portrays with the boy and his camel in a vast expanse of emptiness. Well done!

What a loneliness feeling invades one when looking at your pict. It's a very well composed shot of a beautiful and at the same time sad landscape.
