Photographer’s Note
Taken in the desert of Wadi Rum in Jordan - 2 people have climbed to the top of this massive rock outcrop. There are so many grooves and holes in it, so it's possible to do. Taken around sunset.

I can see you too were taking pictures of rocky formations. In here all the holes and groves create a nice rock face with an original natural artistic feeling. The two people add a perfect scale to the place. You managed good colours in spite of the light being not the best. Well done.

Hi Dave,
This looks like a huge piece of Violet Crumble without the chocolate covering.
What marvelous and intriguing places you take us to, brilliant capture.

Hi Dave
This reminds me of some of the honeycombed sandstone cliffs around Sydney beaches. The people add scale & animate the scene here. Good sharpness & warm cold colour contrasts. Tfs. Have a good weekend!

When I first read it I thought the two people have climbed on through a back road or something. Quite amazing how they could scale the thing. Amazing phenomenon.

Hi David,
I have always been interested in "Tafoni" rock formations. The elaborate holes and cavities appear to be ancient fossils or at least organic.
Your Jordanian image is appealing and detailed, and reminds me how often earth's geology exists in similar patterns around the world.
Good job,
Ray
