Photographer’s Note
The amazing city of Petra, one of my better photos of Jordan as I did not know at the time that my lens apperture was sticking so worked at low light levels when it was wide open but was to slow when it was a very small opening.
An amazing walk to the building and worth every bit of sweat (or glowing for the ladies)

I've always wanted to visit Jordan (but not Peter Andre), and your shot is a reminder of what this country has to offer. This place looks really amazing. The rock cut architecture reminds me of the rock cut Lycian tombs in Turkey, although on a much grander scale.
I like the inclusion of the sheep to fill the foreground and add a bit of life, although I do wish that one of the sheep hadn't been cut in half by the edge of the frame. A minor detail though.
Good work.
Cheers,
Ben

Ahh!!! i love the idea here, but the cut-off sheep is just killing me...
Using the sheep as a strong foreground provides good depth and scale, offering an interesting and cultural aspect to this picture that prevents it from feeling like another flat picture of Petra's architecture.
Thanks!

Ciao Simon,
I'm walking in my past... with your shot!
Amazing Petra, what a wonderful place.
I took one of my favorite pictures 10 min. walking from the Monastery.
Well composed, good color and contrast.
See you soon...
Paolo
