Photographer’s Note
The city of Haifa, my hometown, is famous for its port and for the Bahai shrine, over looking it. The best place to get a good look at the city from is, of course, a mile into the bay. Since I do not have an available boat at the moment, I went to a promenade located on the ridge in a street called Ye'fe Nof which means "has a beautiful view". I hope you agree with the name...
The golden dome at the front of the photo is the Bahai shrine. You can see other photos of it and read the excellent notes here , here and here
I posted a full panorama to workshop – I thought the photo was too crowded for a regular posting.

I like those kind of views, it really looks like a reduced model of a true city. DoF and colors are great, it's sharp, bravo

Nice overall view on Haifa. The photograph is quite bright but you still manage to keep vivid colours and a good perspective balance. Well done Liora. Interesting note also.

This is lovely, Liora, a very beautiful view from your hometown. The perspective is exquisite with the slightly diagonal main road pointing towards the harbor, and the beautifully captured buildings among which the Bahai shrine certainly stands out. Colors are great, too. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Interesting cityscape - ancient church in forefront and postmodern office building in the background. Looks like a nice place to be.

Nice work, Liora! The dome makes a nice focal point and the street beyond leads our eyes up and through the photo. It's just slightly 'hazy'--do you have a polarizing filter or UV filter? I very much agree with your cropping, which simplifies the shot and keeps our interest more effectively.

Really great cityscape! The details and sharpness are just fabulous. I like the fact that you included one long street in the scene which you can follow from top to bottom. It adds a certain dynamic element to the scene. It's interesting to notice that almost all the roofs have similar colours...

Ye'fe Nof just about sums this up Liora. I love all the terracota colour roofs, you get loads of them in Prague also. A very nice picture.

I love the depth in this and this strong linear quality. It really draws me right down this slope, up the road and to the sea where there is quite a contrast with the industrial port. I love the full view, too. That really draws my even more strongly with all the great lines they planned into the hillside. But this one really uses the dome to great effect as a strong focal point and really emphasizes the distance with the buildings and cars below. It's really quite an impressive complex and very well presented to us here. Great job.
