(Richard the title is for you ...)
This is actually "Lag Ba'Omer", the thirty-third day of the Omer period between Passover and Shavuot, celebrated with the lighting of bonfires. And for one night Israel is lighting up like a one huge bonfire. It's one of the best holidays when you are a kid, you collect all kinds of wooden stuff for about a month (and you can get creative from where you get them :-)) and than you spend all night burning them

It's a bit blurry - didn't have a tripod

Hope you like it, and get the feeling of it

Tech:USM a bit

very nice! those silouettes against the bright orange light are striking! i would prefer to see them as separate silouettes, not as a bunch of people standing together. The note is great, i didnīt know about this tradition...

Nice shot Omri, it works very well as a record of the tradition but those silohetes are great and could stand alone without the fire and imo make a wonderful image cropped just on the wall alone.

Nice picture, strange lighting and atmosphere, I like it !

Ha ha, and very clever. The figures in the foreround look so abstract in silhouette, they could almost be aliens, and there's also some relvence to the 'third'. Must have been difficult getting the exposure right, nicely done. added to theme.

Good picture! I like the man next to lighting with his hand in the way up!
Oh, I am looking back to the thumnail and the lighting look like a couple are dancing! I do a workshop to express my idea.

Very intense photo! I like the silhouette of the characters. The compostion of the fire relative to the crowd is very nice.

Very good presentation of Lag Baomer habbits. The silhouettes against the red wall are unique. I hope the house in the background is still standing!

Strange light here Omri. Strange and almost mysterious. I like very much the mood you catched from this scene, and silhouettes contrasting with fire light. Very well framed, very well rendered. pts tomorrow

hi Omri, nice picture, nice compo with the fire and people on both sides, good use of the available light. flaws? maybe there is a bit too much of empty space in the middle, anyway, good shot

well the blur doesnt make a difference, the shot is still stupendous
infact i must say you have a very steady hand .
love the silhouettes against the fire. great work again
what news fmro your brother , where in india is he now?

A lot like Moslem's fasting month. Fasting throughout the day but break fast is pretty creative and a lot to eat. SO much for fasting. At the end of the fasting, its Id. It is always fun to be kid and appreciative of anything simple.

And those silhouettes of figures, against or inside the circular bands of reddish tones on the walls.

You say that you have not tripod. Even in this case I like this one.
Well done.
