Photographer’s Note
Migdal Afek (Afek Tower) or Migdal Tzedek (Tower of Justice) is a crusader fortress built on foundations from an earlier period. It looks over the "Afek Way" used as a historic coastal road.It stands on the top of a hill 141 meters above sea level.
The tower was given many names in addition to its hebrew ones."Magdel Yaba" (The Ruling Tower) in Arabic and the crusaders called it "Mirabel" (Amazing Beauty) noting the beautiful view seen from the
site.

Hi David,
I like your composition with the POV from down, with the outstanding affluent fortress on the sky. A very pretty sky with clouds.
You have had a good idea leaving plants OOF in foreground, they give a very interesting and surreal touch.
I am much also glad that you're back in your home after a dark time and that would not have to be repeated.
We love Peace.
See you soon, my friend.

Hey David!
Good composition of earth and sky, using limited DOF to enhnace the ancient fortress against the yellow-brown dry thorn field...It's 10 minutes ride from my house, by the way, it has been some time since I was there...
:)
Thanks for reminding me of it's existence!

PS - Saw your intro updated note - good to read you returned to your family safely...indeed it was a difficult month...

Hi David,
Good to see you back. This low angle POV is ideal for giving the viewer a good idea of the type of terrain here. I like the clear crisp view of the fortress ruins, the pleasant blending of green and brown hues, and the glorious sky. These historical shots are a great contribution to TE. Well done.

Interesting shot of these ruins under a changing and dramatic sky. Good idea to take it from a low POV.

Good to see you back David. The low POV in this one makes this very attractive with the tall grasses in the FG. The impressive fortress looks good against the clouds.
Take care

Shalom David. Talking about views, your PoV is most effective making the structure gleam between earth and sky. Wonderful light and dynamic sky. I also love the earthy tones in the foreground. Regards. Klaudio.
