Photographer’s Note
This is such an awesome bird.
Next shot in this series... The eagle was standing on a branch in its cage, just waiting to be photographed. I got my lens closets to the cage as possible and told my girlfriend to shout if this bird makes the slightest move towards us :).
Post-pro : cropped, sharpened, saturation/levels/contrast, framed.
(and in case you're wondering why I didn't include the eye in its entirety then the answer is simple. I had to crop out the bar to the left of the bird..nothing I could do here)

ben dis donc, c'est magnifique très beau cadrage, netteté et détails. seul petit point noir a mon avis, l'oeil de l'oiseau qui n'est pas entier

First class shot. Superb detail in the feathers and colours all look good.
If I was being ultra critical I would say more light in the eye would be nice. That doesn't stop this being one of the best wildlife close up shots I have seen in a long time.
Congratulations on a wonderful piece of work.

genial !
Beaucoup de détail très précis sur cette photo , qui accompagnent de bonnes couleurs.
Le seul petit defaut , est le cadrage qui aurait du etre un peu plus sur la gauche afin de vir l'oeil en entier.

WOW ! This "face" scratched the screen of my computer ! Very well done. The little drop is perfect. As all here.

A fine portrait, he looks a bit sad and the drop makes me think he has a cold. I get a little feeling of oversharpening and I would have liked a bit more on the left.

You did a great job here Guy though I would not have used as much sharpening but that is a personal matter. I like the picture because of the strong composition and the colours. Well done.

Amazing details and colors Guy! DOF is great too, centering all the atention on the bird. When i saw it was really amazed how you managed to get so close, then i realize...anyway, even in a cage this is a wonderful shot. Good work :)

very nice, I like this a lot, I think that slightly more head would have done it an even better picture. Great light metering, and great intimacy with the subject.

Fantastic close-up, Guy!
Details of this beautiful creature are well visible.
I likes this shot softer and with brighter eye. Anyway, Well done! Right to my theme Birds of Prey.
