Photographer’s Note
In the Old City in Jerusalem, three ladies with leaves for sale pass the hours visiting and chatting, and just waiting.
I had to handhold a film camera in dim light for this, but I'm hoping the atmosphere outweighs the effects of that.

Hi Ken,
There is a lot of grain/noise in the picture, but as you already explained, the mood is great. I like these market scenes a lot, tells so much about how people live. wonderfull captures Ken, really good..!!

its funny, just reminds me of our rural Turkish women..same postures, same smiles..

Excellent shot of these three friends passing the time. I like the way the white headscarf is repeated in all three, giving this a kind of pattern, making the whole greater than the sum of the parts. Well done!
