This is Dvoranit Dinsmore (Ophrys umbilicata). It is an orchid and if I had to translate its Hebrew name I would have called her "the bee orchid". Look closely and you see why it is called like that.
This one was taken in Ruhama, in the north of the Negev desert. It was quite hard to find it (it's about 15 cm tall) and we almost gave up but just when we said that we should go back to the car we found a couple of them smiling at us.
