[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Dvoranit Dinsmore (Ophrys umbilicata). It is an orchid and if I had to translate its Hebrew name I would have called her "the bee orchid". Look closely and you see why it is called like that.

This one was taken in Ruhama, in the north of the Negev desert. It was quite hard to find it (it's about 15 cm tall) and we almost gave up but just when we said that we should go back to the car we found a couple of them smiling at us.

Hi Yonathan.
This orchid is also known in French as the "orchidee abeille" (bee orchid). The macro is quite nice but I think you could have crop tighter around a single flower to get a better result. your larger crop makes the composition slightly confused due to the presence of too much details. On the other hand, it's interesting for such naturalistic shots to have a look at the whole plant...
Anyway, a very interesting shot and a superb flower. Thanks for sharing !
