The Israeli winter is very different than the European one. The tempratures are higher and the number of beautiful, sunny days is not dismissable.

From mid-Winter till the end of spring the country is full with wild flowers blooming from north to south.

One of the most amazing sights in mid-winter are the giant fields of red windflowers covering every inch of uncultivated earth in the north of the Negev desert.
This photo was taken near Ruhama - a place that gets about 350 mm of rainfall anually.
