I would like to thank all the brave people who comment my previous photo that personally I really like. From the little feedback I have got, I understand that some people felt embarrassed by the subject, even though it is the natural way of life… however, this time I decided to post a fish :-)

Eilat Bay sits at the northern tip of a magnificent coral reef which straddles the equator. The clear, warm sea (minimum 20 Celsius degrees) provides the ideal environment for the coral to build their homes. The coral reef is as variegated as its inhabitants are: ichthyologists have identified over 100 types of stony coral and 650 species of fish in the coral beach reserve. I especially like this place because that’s also where I learn scuba diving.

I took this photo at the underwater observatory in Eilat. It was built in 1974, and was the first underwater observatory marine park of its kind. The goal was to open a window to the red sea.

I was trying to make panning to some fish during most of my stay there :-) I found it extremely difficult to follow those fish with my camera and at the same time to build some interesting composition. At the end most of the photos were away too blurred, but this one I’m quite happy with even if it was not the most colourful fish around. The motion blur background contains mainly corals and few small fish.

Hi Alon, wonderful shot!
i took recently many image in the Monaco Aquarium, one very similar to that one (with the same fishes of the Tuna family).
excellent dynamism, colours and light.
thanks, ciao

Hi Alon,
Wonderful shot, really dynamic and powerful. Lovely colours and great composition, I like a lot the fact of seiing a whole fish in two parts divided. Great!
Sonia

HEllo ALon,
I find the way you captured these scene briliiant, great splash of different blue tones, nice feeling of movement provided by your panning, One would say a persecution scene. Very well done,
regards
Daniel

Excellent panning work, causing all the blurred horizontal lines. Blue fish are different enough for me.
Kath

I take what JY said... and for me it's nice that u put 2 half fish as one entire... it's give something nice to the pic... i like color and blur of "l'arrière plan :-)"
thanks for this moment
David

Bonjour Alon
L'effet est vraiment saisissant. Les pissons semblent remonter à contre courant.
TRès joli aussi les couleurs.
Bravo pour l'idée et la réalisation.
Amicalement

Not bad alon. Nice blur and cool blue color. Its good to keep shooting. This is the beauty of digital. The result you got was very good. Ive never tried to do a panning shot but I imagine its not easy.

Salut Alon,
You seem to have found the exact panning speed as the sharpness of the fish is very good despite a wide aperture for this type of shot. Good result although I would have preferred to see one entire fish than two cut ones...
Have a nice week end,
Jean-Yves

Alon, belle photo avec un filé remarquable. C'est très beau à voir, on en redemande.

Hi Alon
Very dynamic shot.
I like the colour of the fishes.
Cheers
JP

Alon
Very impressive shot here.I like the colours you have caught and the sense of movement in the background. The frame is good and the moment a good catch. Well done.
Aubrey

Perhaps the most interesting fish photo I've ever seen, Alon, at least in terms of the composition. I like the motion, the contrast between sharpness and movement and blur. Unusual and dynamic.

Clever use of panning on fish so we can feel the sense of movement.
