Photographer’s Note
Walking in Jerusalem felt like I was back in time. I expected Roman soldiers to march out of every street and alley we passed! I love this shot, especially the lighting. I admit that all I did was point and shoot but I'm very happy with the result.

Welcome to Trek Earth, Rachel!
I hope you enjoy your stay here on this website. It's a magnificant website for learning to improve one's photography.
I love the simplicity of the photograph, the shapes and textures. The cool Earthtones mix well with the dark shadows. Start at the second and get more of the top.
The only suggestion I would make, would be to have cropped the three-quarters of the first step.
Great start though!
Thanks for sharing!

Very well shot. What struck me were the tones and the depth you captured in this shot. There is a feeling of heat which makes me wish I should walk up the stairs to that shady area in the back ground.

Hey, Rachel. It's a very nice pic with a strong contrast (contrasts are good, right? (-:). I think you should keep it this way and not crop the bottom, since the sewerage adds a modern twist to the picture.
