Arches of the Caesarea Aqueduct, a bit further location as previously shown on the ruins along .
Note the jutty stones in each of an arch, probably an engineering technique to mount this structure.

isn´t it amazing how magnificent structures people were able to build so many centuries ago?without computers and technique we can use everyday.
Outstanding presentation of this Aqueduct!Well chosen perspective and simple, but very expressive color combination, which makes the shot so pleasant to us.
Have a nice evening

a very attractive, deep and dynamic view of the impressive ancient aqueduct. I like very much this point of view that brings us closer to the long and massive structure and its textures. We can observe the character of the architecture and the efficient construction that made the aqueduct stand on this coast for so many centuries. I also like the space you left on the right and the contrasting blue sky. The light is bright, warm and pleasant. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,

A brillant and very interesting photo of this beautiful aqueduct. Excellent perspective and depth. Very attractive lighting and colours. You are probably right that the stones sticking out at the bottom of the arches have something to to with the contruction of the aqueduct .But they are also quite decorative. TFS and have a nice evening!

This is a fine close-up of the viaduct. The construction and the materials are very clear to see; the texture are almost palpable. The repeating arches, narrowing into the distance, give a really good sense of perspective, as they lead from the f/g to a strong vanishing point.
Have a good night,

The length of the aqueduct is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing with precision the details and the colours of the architecture of the aqueduct. The quality of the light is enhancing the beauty of the colours. Have a nice day.

having seen other photos from this place makes me able to compare them and I quite like this one too. The tight framing does plenty of good to the composition and allows one to focus on this architecture and its structure.
The POV has been chosen very well and it resulted in good angle and nice perspective.
Good colors and sharpness.
Thanks for sharing

Wonderful image of this ancient aqueduct, great POV, that this bias increases the image perspective, I get the feeling that the arches are a bit blinded by land, but the condition is optimal.
Good lighting and sharpness.
Very good colors, on this bright day.
Have a good afternoon.

I like that you're showing us a another picture of the aqueduct, this time from a different perspective and point of view. The colors and textures are of course the same, but this carries its own characteristic and visual that stands apart from the previous...and both are equally interesting. As I mentioned before, I'll never cease to be amazed at the ingenuity and knowledge that was applied long before any of todays technology and engineering. This was truly genius. The repeating arches are attractive, and the converging lines make for great depth. Another splendid showing of history. Enjoy the day ahead. Take care.
mkamionka (30694) 2014-02-07 5:08
very nice composition with the repeated motif of the arch. Great light and colors. I think I like this one better.
Have a great weekend,

la scelta di un ottimo POV ti ha consentito una inquadratura particolarmente efficace.
Molto bella la successione degli archi che si sviluppanop sotto la diagonale per convergere verso l'orizzonte.
Ottimo il contrasto.
Ciao e buon fine settimana

a splendid framing here, where you have enhanced the graphical effect of the arches and of the old stones of the Aqueduct, and have obtained a deep perspective with a strong escape of its lines.
The composition is powerful.
saxo042 (37578) 2014-02-09 1:18
The long line of arches here are well captured against the clear blue sky. A very good perspective and very interesting buildings.

Ciao caro Ike
If I ever make it to Israel, Caesarea is on my hit list. What an amazing city, the long arm of the Roman Empire is beautifully illustrated in this excellent photo. Superb low pov, great perspective, impeccable sharpness and depth of field. Congratulations on your photo and thanks for your note, which has fired my imagination.
Warmest wishes, have a beautiful day

Hello Ike. When I saw the Thumbnaiul, I realized the famous aqueduct. A photo of it is in my old album. Your beautiful photo reminds me of my stay in Israel a decade ago.

Good tight framing of the bridge, perspective and a beautiful light that allows us to appreciate every detail of the stones, beautiful contrast with the blue sky.
Curious_Eye (1096) 2015-03-04 23:26
A great portrayal of this ancient aqueduct. The POV is interesting and allows us to appreciate both the detail and the height as well as (some of the) length of the structure. The natural colours contrast well with the blue of the sky, and I like the bright light.
With best wishes,
