Photographer's Note
Bracketing the massive platform that holds the Dome of the Rock are four sets of five arches... one on each side. I am not certain but they seem to be the remains of a procession of them that used to surround the plaza. The reason I say that are these arches. Unlike others they aren't at the top of stairs but rather crown a stretch of sheer wall looking out toward east Jerusalem and the Mount of Olives.

this is a lot better shot than any of the previous ones
and it deserves 2 points. (that's about as many as I get :) I like the f/g shadows and the overall compo and exposure is well handled. Shalom! Jancsi
