[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A typical scene in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem where little boys can be seen zipzapping about as they go from prayer to class.
This little chap had obviously been dismissed from class as we could here his classmates chanting the Talmud or Tora just behind us as he wandered about outside not knowing how to occupy himself.

Well they do say "Ginger Heads" can be the mischevious type......no?

Another view of him in the workshop.

Hi David,

fine portrait. I like the matching colors of the wood and boy's hair. Excellent texture on the wood and worried expression of the boy.

Hi David,
While both photos are well-framed with outstanding detail and color, you clearly made the right choice for the PP. I love the boy's pensive, longing attitude. When he sees you looking at him in the WS, he reverts to a more challenging air. Aren't you glad you have girls??

Howdy David!
Wonderful scene, beautiful boy. Nice colors. Good composition. Original shot.
Shalom!

Oh, those redheads, David.
I raised one. I clearly recognized the expression in your workshop...LOL Even this one has a bit of 'tude in it. Beautiful color, excellent detail and I even like THAT expression. Great job! Thanks a bunch and best regards,
Shelly

Hello David,
This boy doesn't look too pleased by being placed in the "dunces corner" (I presume that he was dismissed from class for bad behavior). A little shame is a good thing and builds character. This is a very impressive photograph and the sharpness is fabulous. I love the brautiful capture of the grain on the wood, and the "ying/yang" effect of the very dark righthand portion and the very light left portion ot the image. This is an exceptional portrait of this boy. Great work!

Exceptional sharpness. Can't decide between this and the one in WS, David. The pov is more interesting here but the WS lacks the blown-out backdrop. Both pictures capture the essence of his state of mind very well. Poor kiddo. Best,
Hakan
