Ciekawa atmosferka.
Pozdrawiam. Grazyna.
And those are the streets that can rival the old streets of my hometown...
Thousands of years of stones, abrazed, shiny and full of ghosts...
Passages and tunnels, all having a gentle blow of Mediterranean wind inside.
People passing, kids playing...
Those are cities of thousands years of history.
Proud to live in one of them :)
BW,
Deniz

Wzstepowanie.
Serdecznosci Jurku! Agnieszka

Niezły jest ten zaułek, a postać z lewej - dość tajemnicza. Całość klimatyczna.
Pozdrawiam!

Olá Jerzy, beautiful framing, great inclusion of the dark sillouette entering in the scene. Lovely scene from the girls under the sun. They would be enough for this picture and post, but the presence of him makes it so much better. He's dark and under the shade and they are adorable and under the sun... Also love the textures. Very good shot.

Hi Jerzy,
it seems that you liked this decoration very much as I saw other
photos taken here.I must admit that I prefer the one with that
girl, the same excellent background with excellent emphasize of
the wall's textures, but in that photo the girl's face expression
was so unique.I like this one too, well done.
Cheers,
Horatiu

Hi Jerzy,
Exactly "Daily Life" in a very special place with a good illustrative picture.

Upon silver whiskers of Abraham long beard...
This is a one huge chunk of a good photography, dear Jerzy...
A scene you can encounter once in your life, or...Possibly... Never !
Quick, cold blooded reaction is a trademark of a good photographer.
Welcome home, brother (if only for a moment (:-)))

Hi Jerzy - one of my "favorite" alleys in Mea Shearim, in this case I believe the strongest element is the silhouette of the ultra-orthodox guy, so I tried a WS which hopefully emphasizes it. Regards, Daniel

Hello Jerzy,
so many details, contrasts and colors in this one!
First thing, I like the textures on the rocks all around. It's a very effective and subtle way of framing the action that you want to show.
the 2 little girls are absolutely adorable. I like that they are lit by the sun like that. The man in the shades is more of an antithesis and make for an interesting scene. He's just far enough from them to let our imagination go and think of how the encounter will happen...
HAve a nice day,
Marc

Hello Jerzy,
These serğes of Mea Shearim give me the desire to also send some picture I shot perhaps 10 years ago.
This one is so typical, and it shows everything that makes Mea Shearim, the Hassidim, the children, the posters, the stairs and the typical houses. The stairs seem to lead us to the scene.
Keep well - Izzet

Hello Jerzy,
The back streets. This is where normally the most interesting happens, as the most known ones normally are too crowded to leave us space to watch, or time to think.
Here you were hitting the backstreets and getting a good result, full of contrasts not only only of lihgt, not only of colours but mostly of generations.
I love this shadow walking towards the cute litte girls.
Cheers.

There's always something to enjoy in your varied gallery Jerzy, and this is my favourite of your recent postings.
An apt title - if it wasn't for the plastic shop signs and the AC unit, this could have been taken almost at any time in the past few hundred years (assuming a time-travelling photographer!).
I like how you captured the figure moving from darkness into light, where the girls enjoy their light-hearted chatter in the sun.
Good work.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Jerzy, I like this retrospective of 2007...
Knowing Mea Sharim I think you render very very well the atmosphere there, of a life kind of frozen (to me).
I love the textures of the old stones and the light coming in the little alley, the orthodox man is just in the shadow. He goes towards the young girls who stand in the ligth. I also notice the barriers...Great composition and great mood.
TFS

Witaj Jerzy.
Good view of this urban landscape.
You stopped the time and shot this wonderful street where the people adds a lot of atmosphere.
Well done.
