Friday morning a friend and I went to the Machpelah.

Coming out of the building I noticed this soldier quietly looking over things. |

Greets Yael,
Thats a really good photo and conveys the message nicely. Nice background, foregroud, shaprness and colors, also the israli flag is a fitting capture.
Kinda hard to understand for us Europeans that soldiery is a everyday part of your life.
Enjoy.

This is great Yael!
Aside from your composition, I really like the mood here and the moment you captured of this young soldier. It's pretty much what i look for here at TE.
Thanks,
Talia
Hello Yael,
A powerful composition and social statement. The photograph is well composed and exposed; it is a tragedy that the new realities of life require constant vigilance for security. I wish you a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year. I am flattered that you selected my gallery as a "favorite," and will keep an eye on it. Certainly, I will frequently peruse your postings.
Warm regards,
Bulent
The man in this picture is not a soldier. The label on the back of his jacket identifies him as "mishtarah," police. It is not quite the statement that some viewers imagine. He is like any policeman, sworn to protect and serve, but this is not a military presence.
