I scanned this from a photograph I took on a backpacking jaunt through the Levant in 1998. It was dusk at the wailing wall, and I thought it was just an incredible place to be. You can see the Dome of the Rock on the left-hand side of the photo.
Although the gold of the dome and the blue sky were nice, I thought this worked better in a slight sepia tone - gives it more of a historical-ish feel, and helps cover up some of the imperfections from the original (and quite old) photo. |

Hi Rebecca,
I plan to travel to this holy land in December, not sure how I'm going to that since I'll be coming from Saudi Arabia, a Muslim country. Hmm....
Anyway, I'm going to try to make a workshop for you, I would like to see how it would look like if it's brighter but without losing the tone you wanted originally.
Thanks for sharing :)
Shalom,
Kaye
nice view of the wailing wall and itīs surroundings, good use of th sepia tones,
makes it looks like a photo from 1967 when israel won it back...good job & best wishes, thor.
