Photographer’s Note
"Jerusalem bagels" are like regular bagels, only about 2 feet (60 cm) long. Because each one makes a meal for2 or 3 (or 4?) people, I never did eat one, but however they may taste, they make for fascinating photos. They are sold all over Jerusalem, though I don't recall seeing them elsewhere in Israel.
Technical: In RAW, slight Temp. rise, also Exposure, Contrast and Clarity, and Sharpening. In CS3, slight crop and Unsharp Mask.

I thought someone had sat on them! :D
They do make a wonderful, almost abstract image with some good light/shade contrasts. The clarity and sharpness is impeccable. We can almost count the sesame seeds, although why we would want to....? ;D

Hi
At first glance i thought these were snakes!
I really like photos like these, not many people think creatively to take photos of everyday items such as food. Still life photography is wonderful.
and you captured this wonderfully as well!

Hello Dan,
These bagels look so appetizing I could not resist homing in on the image. We have good friends visiting from Israel this weekend. My co-author and friend dating back to Oxford days has been on sabbatical from the Technion, and will find this as appealing as I have. I can virtually taste the roasted sesame.
Warm regards.

Hi Daniel
Picture well done. Didn't know bagels came this way. You get two points for showing me something new.
Cheers,
