Hello Paolo,
This is a captivating shot with many qualities. Seeing the soldiers inside a church is interesting enough, although they don't seem to be particularly interested in where they are. Looks more like a mandatory cultural tour. The light is fantastic and composition is excellent. Fine capture. Ciao,

good to see they have respected this place of peace - I got into a bit of an argument with two armed Israelis for walking in with guns - it's unbelievable that this should be allowed! It's quite amazing in your image how the colours of their unfiorms is perfectly camouflaged with the stone - if they stood against it they would disappear. Your image shows the richness and atmosphere of this place very well. Not the best quality as you say but it is full of meaning for me.

Hi Paolo,

I don't think the quality really matters here, as the photograph is quite nice in itself. The scene and details hold their own charm, so the quality is no issue for me.

As Kev says, this is full of meaning...

What I do feel, is that the picture is a little unbalanced on the right hand side. I know it must be a little difficult, but I feel a little cropping from both sides and the bottom might make it work a little better for me. I am in a hurry right now, but I might try a little workshop later for you...

mi piace moltissimo questa composizione. L'immagine ha fascino ed ha un suo contrasto nel fatto che i soldati sono in un luogo di pace, ma è proprio il mondo che è fatto di opposti che a volte si intrecciano e si attraggono.
Non posso che commentare positivamente questi sacri luoghi dal momento che li ho vissuti intensamente e mi hanno lasciato un ricordo indelebile nel cuore e nell'animo, mio e di tutta la mia famiglia.
Grazie per la condivisione di queste stupende testimonianze!

Che bellissima significativa immagine, Paolo!
Già vedere soldati in chiesa fa un effetto particolare.... poi si tratta di Gerusalemme e ce ne sono tanti di significati. E sei riuscito a catturare anche quel raggio di luce. Bravissimo!

"The quality is not so good". You're wrong. It's very good and also it shows a very interesting scene. It is not only a decidsive moment. It is also a daily life scene. And that's the reason why I like this one.

I like this one too.It`s strange to see so many soldiers at a religious location.I like the relaxed poses of them and the many fine details.The diagonal rays of blue light look great too.

Hi Paolo,

I like this image a great deal. The quality and play of the light is wondrous .. all those objects hanging add a really unusual mood and depth to the image. Then onto all that you add the evocative combination of the soldiers and the place. ... wonderful.

Very interesting photo for the overall atmosphere and the strange presence of the soldiers. It makes me thinking about some photo of National Geographic.
You have also well managed the position of the light spot that you placed just below the lustre.

Really like the square format here and it is very nice to see it in natuaral light Excellant composition and hard to think what else you could do other than use a higher ISO number.
