A re-post after minor backlight correction on both this and the WS attached.
A web page about this interesting building located in the Greek-Colony quarter in Jerusalem.
The 1932 built mansion, was moved on a set of rails in 1989, by a special engineering-group, from it's original post on the middle of a big lot, to make room for the dwelling modern house we see on the BG.
Two side views on the WS's.

a very interesting building, an intriguing blend of Mediterranean architectural characteristics that must be essential for the atmosphere of this district. I like very much the way you framed the old and the new building with the tall trunks and the fence. There's fine sharpness on details and textures, the sunshine is very agreeable next to the shade and the colours are natural and lovely. I'm struck by the effort put into the old house's translocation, a great achievement. Superb presentation, congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,

This is a delightfully sharp exposure and whatever the previous problem with light, you have surely solved it.
I like the dappled light, in the f/g, which helps to give a comprehensive picture of the wall, its materials and textures and contrasts well with the shaded trees beyond.
The building itself is nicely detailed, clearly showing the two different, architectural styles.
Have a great w/e,

Some of the trees are hiding part of the house. The point of view is showing the details and the colors of the house. The good luminosity is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

This Romanesque mansion appears like a crusader age architecture, for the high walls and pointed arches with columns.
Would be fun to spend the night here.
Thanks for sharing,

You're capturing well this old mansion by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the elegant mansion with white outer wall and wide courtyard. It seems to dwelling mansion of upper class people. And, the lush green in site draws out a freshness.

i contrasti sono molto forti grazie a questa costruzione bianca e al cielo blu, gli alberi scuri sottolineano questi contrasti mettendoli ancor più in risalto.

Nice view to this interesting house. Thanks for your info note. I'm always wondering how the civil engineers and other specialists move such buildings. Quite long time ago a building (around for stories) was moved in Basel to make space for highway.
p.s. thanks for the web-link, interesting reading.

Ciao dear Ike
So a new building made to look old? Interesting because it certainly looks old. Beautiful colours and excellent light management.
Warmest wishes, have a beautiful day

Like a 'Forbidden City' this old building is beautifully guarded behind black bars and a gate! Those glamorous green trees 'really give the killer punch' to this historic scenery.

Hello Ike, Interesting mansion built to look like old one. I like the walls from big stones and nice Gothic windows. Must be diffcult task to move the building, and I am glad they did it and not just destroyed to give place for the modern house. Very nice shot.
Warm regrads Malgo

The one that got away. :) I obviously missed its return, so I was happy that it caught my eye as I started to browse your pages. Amazing to think this entire thing was moved "as-is." Reading the web page and understanding todays technology, it still boggles the mind!?
A lovely shot through the trees, I actually like how the silhouetted trunks make the building stand out even more so in contrast...and the clear blue sky also adds a nice compliment in that regard. I only saw the original post briefly, so I can't speak the the adjustments you made, but it sure looks good to these eyes of mine. :) Have a great day. All the best.
