I think this is a great image.

The colours, the woman in black in the dry landscape, the framing all add to the feeling of desolation i get from this picture.

Very good composition, George.
The soft tones of the desert with the black dress make a wonderful contrast.
Putting the girl in the upper part, and leave a large view of desert earth is a good coice.

I would have liked a little less tight framing of the top, but beside of this I really like the feeling it gives by the chosen tones and the centered place of main subject.

Good photo. very much of a desert scene. I think I would have liked it better with the original colors (as the desert is not so colorful after all...). I like your choice of frame as well.
