Photographer's Note

The highest point on Old Jaffa, a summit-garden with 360deg. view(see a pic. posted before), this pic. due west.
Jaffa has a 4000 years of history, and an archeology-excavations taken place within this garden.
The earliest remains found here, are from the reign of the Kingdom of ancient Egypt "Canaan".
1,000 years later - 8 BC, the Assyrians conquered the Kingdom of Jaffa, and later:
Hellenistic period ,Roman ,Crusades,Ottoman period,
Christian period until mid 19th century.
In 1824 with the return of Jews to Jaffa, and later the establishement of Tel-Aviv north of Jaffa in 1908, begun the modern era of the town as we know it nowadays. In 1918 The British took over the Mandate until 1948, with the independence of the State-of-Israel, Jaffa became part of the city of Tel-Aviv.
