Photographer’s Note
According to "Zu den Messingeimern vom Hemmoorer Typ: Verbreitung, Datierung und Herstellung", in: "Rom an der Niederelbe": in Roman times buckets had the shape of a cup.
Before the invention of plastic they were made of iron or wood.
A bucket is a truncated cone; there is a complicated formula to calculate the volume of a bucket, so you can simply fill it with water and then measure the volume of the water in a measurement device.

Hi Daniel
A good decisive moment shot of the catapulted bucket, with a magnificent sunset backdrop. The silhouetted child at right adds a nice focal point. Tfs!

Very interesting and active photo. So many questions: did the child throw the bucket, did it hit anything, and will she throw the other one?

Hi Daniel,
Wonderful combination of setting sun, beach, children's play. And the surprise factor, flying bucket. Fascinating scene with excellent exposure on tricky backlight.

Daniel,
There is something distinctly Monty Python-ish about the flying bucket and your note. Besides, you have handled the very difficult light well.
