Photographer’s Note

Today, shorts are worn by either sex from birth through old age without any stigma attached.

But historically, in the 19th and early 20th centuries, shorts were worn as outerwear only by young boys. Because of this, men would not wear shorts to avoid looking immature.

There are many styles of shorts. In the US "shorts" can also refer to underwear.

this is a great shot, it's your style. I find it ironic and sad at the same time...is is a sign of the times? ehe...and all is perfectly seen, composed and framed. Really a good job.

the strongest feature of this photo is that irony which is so often visible in your photographs-street life observations...

just a pitty he was heading other direction...
