Silhouettes at the Shakshouka
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Lunchtime shot taken at Dr. Shakshouka, a popular restaurant in old Jaffa, next to the Flea Market, serving "shakshouka" and other North African dishes.
Shakshouka is an Israeli and Tunisian dish. The Tunisian version is made of cooked tomatoes, peppers, spices and eggs. It is cooked on low flame starting with the vegetables and spices; once these are cooked, the egg is added.
In Israeli cuisine, the dish is made of eggs, tomatoes, and onions or garlic.
Shakshouka is typically eaten with a pita, like many other Middle Eastern dishes. |

Hi Daniel,
The silhouettes in front of the frame made the image!Interesting note as well for the Israeli cuisine.Very well seen street shot!
Have a nice day,
Thomas
Hello Daniel
Very sharp sillhouettes, wish the banner was not there...is a definite distraction but good use of the elements with the right perspective..think it gives the right depth the compo demands..
the saturation of the colours are well balanced..Overall well presented..i like it..:)
Cheers

i like how the silhouettes have become a part of the frame in tihs shot daniel... you should have got rid of that white triangle in the guy's armpit though :)))...
cheers...

it is surprising how thous silhouetted images are visually attractive on one hand and how little the viewers appreciate it!...only 6 points by the time i'm writting this critique (while 76 times viewed)...pitty as it is really an attractive use of mulidmensional photography; you "created" three layers here, starting with the crowd, through the curtain, and ending up with the funny figure of the waiter...
