Photographer’s Note
A high point of view over Tel Aviv's beach.
The sunset hitting the waves while a lonely Jogger is finding his pace and peace

Hello Gilad,
The thumbnail pulled me right in! I can really feel the immensity of the ocean in this photo, and I love the way the waves make criss-cross patterns across the frame. Nice placement of the lone person walking on the sand, and the vertical orientation of this composition is really lovely.

Hi Gilad,
Checkered sea? Nice shot, you have captured a very nice criss pattern on the sea. Interesting texture and nice composition, shows us how vast the world is.
Cheers,
Claire

Great patterns, textures, colors and dynamics on the sea; well seen and captured - and the jogger good for scale; TFS!

Wow, fantastic shot! The long figure on the beach, with the backdrop of the waves coming in, is very beautiful and powerful. I like the unusual high angle used in this, which really shows the patterns of waves in the water in a way we don't usually see. Excellent work!

Such an unusual pattern on the sea - the light is beautiful, the composition very perfectly framed - the scale is fantastic - I think another favourite for 2007!
best wishes Kev

how long did you have to wait to get these patterns on the water AND a human silhouette just in the right place? in any case, the result is worth the wait - love the feeling of liquid gold to the water, and how you've let it dominate the scene and actually dwarf the figure of the woman in the foreground. fantastic colours, my compliment on the great shot.
best,
Kristine

Hi Gilad,
I cannot believe the content of this photo because of its incredible physical phenomenon: the XXX waves!
This may be caused by natural waves intersecting with some ship-borne tides coming from the opposite side...
Anyhow, the result is admirable...
Congrats,
Deniz

Hi Gilad,
Wow, that is a very interesting play of light. When opening the page, you only see the top part of the photograph (with a 1280x800 screen setting that is). A good surprised to see what it as the bottom of this composition. Very nice.

Very interesting perspective - in small view - the water looks as it could be over this silhouette.
