This is the female-bird of the Mayna with a gray belly is it's recognized best mark.
Those birds always come in pers: once you spot the female - the male is around somewhere as well: so, next pic. is the male on same tree / diff. branch.

nice the view of this female-bird that is outlined against the mauve flowers of the sitting tree..I don't know if there are these kind of birds in Greece,i think not,but it looks adorable.

Hello Ike, I like your display of this bird with the jacaranda blooms in the tree. Not familiar with the bird, but I have two of these trees in my yard. I haven't seen your posts recently or maybe you haven't been posting as often. I try to at least critigue pictures from individuals I have added to my favorites, but I guess it is also the time of day when one surfs the gallery. Anyway have a good Sunday. Hello Ike, I am happy to see you also have jacarandas in Tel Aviv. Of course, being a coastal city to the Mediterranean it's normal. The bird looks very elegant and proud against the purple coloured jacaranda blossoms. I really liked it. Congratulations, Tolga
