Second post, closer and a bit diff. view on the Tel-Aviv Museum plaza with the display of "Troubels in the square".
A previous picture where mentioned that is not clear why the sculptor Zadok Ben-David named this beautiful display with this name. Did not find any explanation on the web.
Anyway, found those black-painted corten-steel elements provide a fine contrast to the surrounding, and a nice play of afternoon shadows.

bella e originale, come la tua foto, con l'aggiunta delle ombre l'effetto è ancora più interessante.

You present us with a variety of different and interesting shapes. I like the point of view and the shadow play. The figures stand out well against the lighter background.

Looks like 'a live' show on stage with strong composition, dof and the hi-contrast of the 'performers' against the setting. Exposure is pleasant and glad everything went well for you but getting low down and close certainly have its benefits as proven here. The angled light, shadows and detail all collaborate to lend this strikingly stand out. Great urban artwork smartly captured. Congrats

Wonderful composition, this monument is truly original and beautiful, you've captured what a perfect time, when we can better see the backlit silhouetted against the background of pale stone, is a magnificent work.
Very nice range of colors.
Superb management of both the brightness and sharpness.
Well seen and done better. I like it
Have a good weekend.

the slender silhouettes and the scenes they present are very intriguing. It's enticing to study each of the sculptures and then see if there's a larger connection. The sidelight makes them even more mysterious. They are somehow isolated from the wider context of the square in a little world of their own. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,

J'aime l'ambiance donner par ces sculptures, les jeux ombres et oui le contraste avec le clair et le sombre, très belle présentation et réalisation

Very curious piece of art with all those differnt kind of objects and all different scaled.
They seem to float above the pavement.
Thanks for sharing,

Helo Dear Ile,
This is so different, the statues ranged across the pavement like regular pedestrians! The silhouettes work well in conjunction with their long, black shadows and all show up nicely against the pale b/g!
Have a good w/e,

The tight frame is putting the sulptures in evidence. The pointt of view is shwing the details of the sculptures. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

I like the strong contrast in this picture. The figures look like silhouettes and I think that was the idea of the artist, for he made them almost two-dimensional.

this is a good shot of these interesting steel elements. I am quite sure that they attracts attention, both from tourists as well as locals. Nice play with light and shadows.A good picture that probably should work in B&W too. Tfs!
Have a nice evening/

Steel sculptures seems to be gaining popularity, we have them on the side of highways here in Southern Nevada. Great capture of those art works and I like the shadows, they created depth. Good lighting and nice details. Well done, tfs.
macjake (57412) 2014-08-23 12:55
yes, i remember this display of people from the other post you showed us.
I wonder if they light up at night?
for some reason when i look at this shot with all the birds, i'm waiting and waiting for the birds to move around :)
but they don't!

very interesting modern installation. At first from the miniature I thought the silhouettes are real.
Very well done,

Bonjour, cher Ike,
Voilà une image qui sort des sentiers battus.
Très bonne prise de vue d'une scène de la vie quotidienne.

nikkitta (14992) 2014-08-28 16:49
Like a lot the work of the sculptor, a good one, super creative, mix of human silhouettes and birds
Good to chose an hour late to have the shadows
Excellent work, enjoy watching

This is a rather unusual sculpture, but I like it retry much. The inky blackness of the forms is rather unsettling but this is offset perfectly by their body language, which is playful and full of life. A very unusual and eye catching work, and the angle you chose is perfect to draw out as much movement as possible from all of the characters. You have inspired me too, I am in Belfast at the moment, and there are three figures a little like this near my hotel. I must take a few moments to see if I can view them differently now that I have seen your post :)
daddo (24545) 2014-09-02 4:15
Shalom Ike. It's the shadows that bring "life" to these figures as they interact with all those birds. Nice setting for such a large display.I suppose it was difficult not to cut someone partially out of the composition. Regards. Klaudio.
danos (87873) 2014-09-02 9:15
nice the view of all this synthesis of the Tel-Aviv Museum plaza with the dark silhouettes of the scalpture to make it so inviting and unique.Excellent the light and the colour management as the clarity of the image.

I remember this well from your previous post. I really like this tighter frame and compilation of silhouettes, it's almost as if the entire scene has come alive with motion. Not only are the figures appealing, but their shadows being cast also create another fun and lively element. And best of all, it looks as if we have another photographer in our midst, right there in front taking a picture of the birds. :) For a literal "still shot," there's plenty of action to enjoy here. Enjoy the rest of the day. Take care.
