I have no idea why the sculptor Zadok Ben-David named this beautiful display "Troubels in the square". Placed in the Tel-Aviv Museum plaza, made by corten-steel elements and show interesting daily-life situations and characters of people and birds.
Afternoon light and long-shadows added a wonderful texture, especially seen on the WS attached.
Location in Tel-Aviv: 32.07673 34.7865
Cropped 16:9 aspect ratio.

An interesting and unusual set of modern sculptures in various poses and designed to capture the attention of the viewer. From this point of view, they look like so many silhouettes. Your point of view shows them in context with the added bonus of the two human admirers. Fine technical presentation.

Those kind of sculptures are becoming popular now, we have them decorating our highways. Nicely captured with nice details. I like the side lighting. Well done, tfs.

a very interesting scene, I like how it stretches across the panoramic frame, the backdrop is neat, geometrical and interesting and it's great that you included the complete museum sign too. The evening light has really created a fine atmosphere but maybe, if the light fell on the statues from this angle, more details would be visible in them. The sharpness and depth of your description are excellent, it's stunning how vibrant this scene composed of silhouettes looks. In this and the workshop picture I like very much the bright outline of the statues. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,

The distance between the exhibits and the building in the background is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and the colors of the exhibits. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Good morning Ike,
The WS picture gives us a better idea of the shadows, but I do enjoy this wide version of the entire piece. I think the only real "trouble" would be trying to figure out the meaning of this set-up!? :) An interesting mix of objects, and I really like the fact you caught a real life couple in the background to contrast the non-human sculptures. The soft play of light accents the scene in a nice, calming manner. Definitely something that would make you stop and take a closer look. Enjoy the new day. All the best.

I agree with you, I see no trouble here. A nice and sharp photo - I'll have to see Tel Aviv next time I'm in Israel.

Perhaps Zadok Ben-David named his multiple humans in varying positions with the numerous birds after the pesky nature of some birds, especailly sea gulls who will tear into your belongings and food bags?
The life size and in-motion statues are eye catching.
Thanks for sharing,

this is in fact not only very pretty display but also interesting. I do not know how the whole plaza looks like I have the impression that this group of sculptures make the whole place more appealing.
Good use of the panoramic format to present this art work.
Thanks for sharing

yes, i'm not sure why either! I know its people in daily life situations, but its just kind of odd don't you think?
I have pretty much given up all hope of ever trying to understand the sometimes weird and wacky way that artists think
the WS photo is a good addition as we see more from that angle too. interesting yes, a good te subject yes, do i understand it's true meaning...no :)
thanks for this one

HJello Ike, Very attractive sculpture. Good idea to go with art just on the street, not have it closed in museum halls. Funny silhouettes of people and birds. Do you recognize these birds?

Original and well composed capture with the dark sculptures as protagonist, a mix of people and birds
Good to add some vegetation at the sides and at the back two people
Well done, regards
Buen fin de semana

Good graphism & silhouettes with wonderful repetition of patterns, shapes and figures. I like the wide angled, panoramic crop. The 2 people in the bg at right animate the scene and provide scale. The trees add a welcome splash of greenery to this large b&w image. Tfs!
jemaflor (79824) 2014-07-06 23:45
Well presented these sculptures, interesting contrast with a good light capture, in b&w the version would be also interesting I suppose.
siudzi (31617) 2014-07-08 12:49
You have selected an interesting subject for taking this image. With the building in the background the sculptures look more attractive and original in my opinion. Well seen and horizontally composed. TFS!

nice view of the modern façade of the museum. there is another interesting huge sculpture ahead. I liked the silhouettes shown here, they created an interesting visual effect in the compo. nice job.
NorthernLight (1285) 2014-07-18 10:17
this looks like the shadows of some people and animals would have separated from their owners in order to meet there. To make there crazy things.
Well captured in this fine evening light. Beautifully surreal!
also for you a nice weekend
