Photographer’s Note

95 seconds exposure.
I used a technique i invenyed for this shot :)

First, why did i need to invent a technique?
I noticed the sky had that blue wonderful tone and the cloud was massive and it's movement was very slow. I wanted to capture the frame for long enough to show the color from under the cloud and I needed longer exposure for that (since the movement was slow).

What did I do?
I used a nikon 28-70 lens that has 58mm lens. On top of that I placed a 77mm Hoya R72 filter that is a very dark one and hardly lets light into the frame.
Then I used a remote to start the bulb exposure.
After about a minute of exposure I took the 77mm filter from the top without moving the camera (what was easy since it is much bigger than the lens.
Another 30 seconds without the filter and I got this reasult.

What you see are the Azrieli towers and the Tel Aviv skyline. This was taken from the star abservation point in Ramat Gan
