After 5 stormy days (and nights), the sun came out again, and the fishermen again set out to sea, so did I: Went for a stroll in Old-Jaffa port, to catch some reflections (which I intend to post in the future). While taken an easy time photography, I saw this fisherman collected a small number of fishs in the net. The fishs did not know the storm was already over...

Very nice scene, with the image of this fisherman, hard at work to unravel its network and take their catch, which in this case is greatly diminished.
I really like these shades of blue sea, with these glare and reflections, is a magnificent background.
Very good brightness and sharpness.

Hello Ike,
An eye-catching picture featuring this fisherman and his rather meagre catch. The reflections in the background are quite superb. I like the point of view and composition, which has a good sense of animation. Good colours and sharpness.

Bonsoir, cher Ike,
Je n'ai jamais compris comment les marins arrivaient à s'y retrouver dans leur filet de pêche. Les filets sont de véritables entrelacs, voire des puzzles incompréhensibles (du moins, pour ma part) !!
L'image est excellente et réalisée sur le vif.

Hello Ike,

You have done well to get such fine reflections but, for me, the fisherman, showing immense concentration, is the star of the show. He is well placed in the frame, nicely sharp and shows up well against the white reflections.
I know it probably wasn't planned but don't the blue and white stripes, in the b/g reflections, link well with the fisherman's shirt!

Hello Ike,
the fisherman must be a bit frustrated, but surely knows to read the weather and the habits of the fish. You have placed him very well in the frame to attract attention to his figure and activity. I like very much the lustrous reflections as a backdrop to the whole scene. It would be nice if you could avoid the bright white surfaces next to him but I know it was difficult and the fiesherman wasn't posing:) Clarity is great. The chromatic harmony and the morning light are lovely. Congratulations and thank you!

Dear Ike

It seems that the fish had been hiding in the storm! The poor fisherman, after all that hard work and all he gets are 1 or 2 fish. But thanks to the storm, the water looks so beautiful and glassy. The reflections on the right FG are beautiful and I love the effect of the fishing net, it looks so fine, like a spider's web. Wonderful choice of subject matter (I LOVE fishermen) and a superb quality to the photo.

How on earth do you untangle the net - this poor chappy hasn't fare well for his hard work - not much of a catch.

Great report from the working fisherman. But as you can see the catch of the day was not too successful. The fisherman has a very noble, truly royal face. Excellent quality and great color image.

Hi Ike,

I always find it interesting to see photos of locals going about their daily business. This is a great moment captured of such a thing, a fisherman working his trade and doing what he knows best. I like the sharpness of this picture, and the reflections on the water give even more interest to the scene. A slight distraction by the bar in the bottom right corner (which I'm sure was unavoidable from your point of view), but otherwise this is a splendid composition that places this gentleman in a strong focal point and shows us his natural environment. Great shot!

Hello Ike,

You're capturing well this scene by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the spectacle that a fisherman is handling the net on boat bending the waist. The whole is unified well the bright tone and a good arrangement. And, the reflection projected to the water draws out a good effect in this image.
