Sometimes I feel lucky to take my camera on my daily stroll - All of a sudden I heared a lot of buzzes and hums: So, I took this Hornet fly close to me and some bees comming along, all looking for fresh nectar...

Simplme but excellent composition. The superb flowers - and its details well collectd - is well off-centred on the left of the image and arise very well in the green of the vegetation. A superb natural shot.
have a nice WE,

A fantastic composition for its beauty and for the moment captured, ideal is green branch with the bouquet of flowers and the insect actively working, I like the blur of the background that gives more prominence to the scene.
Magnificent colors with good management of luminosity.
Enjoy the weekend.

Hello Ike, So you are not only in to birds, but also bugs. Good shot of that bee or hornet. We have those and they are extremely large , but I have never heard of anyone getting stung by one of them. The African small bees are the dangerous ones. This is a good shot of the bee draining the nectar from this flower. Well composed and interesting. Regards. Roger

we named these big bees "mamangabas", people here are ever afraid of them but we had a nest of them near my home and they never attacked us. Nice view of the bee and the flower. excellent light, colors and sharpness

I see that in Israel you are interested mainly in nature, posting beautiful shots of birds and plants. I like this one very much, beautiful shot, with perfect focus on flowers and hornet. It is always worth taking the camera with you, even for a daily stroll. The flower is Campsis radicans, I suppose. I had one on the walls of my house but my husband cut it off, I do not know why .
all the best in 2011.

So charming picture of that hornet Ike,
Nice view, vivid colors of the flowers and vegetation
Saturation and sharpness are ok

Is that a hornet or a relative of a bumble bee? It is fat like a bumble bee, but it is not hairy, so it's probably not. Anyway, nice catch with the flowers.
