The gray crow/ Jay, called in Israel "Orvani", and it's scientific name is Garrulus glandarius.
32 – 35 cm length, 17cm+/- wing span, and weight some 160-190 gr.
Usually found on small forests , parks and plantations.
It is a spring inhabitant in the shore-plains of Israel.
Note of the blue strips on it's wings sides .
*** This bird was modeling for me, for a duration of several minutes - so more to be posted.

Nice closeup of this Jay, unlike ours which are predominantly dark blue. Ours are also a major nuisance because they eat all my tree fruit along with the squirrels.
