Rabbis Rockin' Out
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This photo was taken at a wedding of my uncle in Bnei Brak, a city of ultra-orthodox Jews located in the Tel Aviv metropolis. Him and his wife are what's called in Hebrew Hozrim Be'tshuva, secular Israelis who become extremely observant Jews, usually in their teens or 20's.
This band is probably not made up of rabbis, but who knows. It was unusual for me to see this variety of instruments for a band. Also I got a kick out of the guy wailing klezmer and other religious music on his Les Paul (which is indeed a Gibson). |

Hi Roy,
a wonderful and unusual shot. I didnīt know there is something like that. Also your note is very interesting.
Hi Roy,
Nice and amuzing picture. As we say in French: "La musique adoucit les moeurs" - Music soften moral standards (straight translation).
Hope it works for any ultras from any religion.
Thanks
Tony
indeed a unique shot! that guy with the guitar does look amazing, his expression holding the guitar is so focused!!! well done
mazeltov!! nice shot.thanks for sharing.mario.
Let's bring them on Friday to Jerusalem to
accompany the "Mitzad Hageava" :-)
Sorry, but I do not think that every "Dos"
is a rabbi. There are a few guitarists among them but they play hassidic music not rock'n roll :-)
