Swiss Airbus 330-300, a photo from Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv

Photographer's Note

A different bird, this time: The Swiss Airbus 330-300, on a final-approach landing in Ben-Gurion Airport, TLV.
A WS taken seconds before shows the plane on it's gliding-path towards the runway.

A fly-by-wire feature aircraft, I once measured 46 sec. run untill V2 speed/lift-off, has a 63.7m length, a wingspan of 60.3m, tail height 16.83m, and the max. landing wight is 185 metric-tons. This amazing craft landing in an aprox. airspeed of 140km/h, relatively slower than other aircrafts.

Hello Ike,

A clean and clear image of this Air Bus in the air. The blue sky makes a perfect background for this plane with gray body and red painting in the tail. The details can be well seen. The light, sharpness and colors are excellent. Nice image in the WS showing the plane just taking off.

Hi Ike,

The space in front of the aircraft is indicating movement. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the Airbus A330-300 of Swiss. The afternoon light is enhancing the colors. The aircraft is a bit low in the frame. Have a nice day.

This plane as if suspended in the air. Short exposure time caused the freezing of Swiss movement plane. Very good image quality.

Ciao dear Ike,
Swiss should give you a couple of free air tickets for this enjoyable and interesting image, but especially for the perfect photo quality that allows us to appreciate even the smallest details of this great airplane. I flew from Venice to Dubai last March with the 330-300 and I must say that is very comfortable. Great shot, congratulations!

Hello Ike, this is a fine shot to this huge bird in the air. Always amazed me to see something of this size and weight flyin in the blue skies above. However, I have abandoned some of my flying as the time consumed at some of these airport security checks have caused me to miss some flights. Munich airport and Lufthansa flights are perhaps the worst for me. I did not go to Europe this year because of our problems coming home last September from Munich. It is a long story, but it was Lufthansa and United Airlines problems. We ended up at midnight in Chicago Ohare Airport without our luggage and no flight until the next day. We ended up walking over to a Hilton Hotel and spending the night there at our expense. So I am not excited about flying anymore. Regards, Roger

Good Morning Ike,

Although I am always filled with trepidation during take-off, I still find planes fascinating. I once took a group of primary children to Manchester Airport, where they were allowed to get up close to Concord and pretend to fly a 737. They were wonderful, dressed in pilots uniforms and using all the controls! Maybe they will have aspirations to be pilots, now!

This is a lovely shot. The plane is sharp, well positioned and with the grace of a gliging eagle.

Wonderful clear and sharp photo Ike, and with great care to color and light management. Your POV of this Air Bus and something that I think would be hard to take with the light and shadows with speeding planes, so with that being said, WOW, great job Ike!!

Hi Ike,
this one is not an easy capture, the plane is opening its landing gear while it approaches the track.
Its motion and the use of the zoom are a strong challenge to take the photo, but you have reached a high level of quality in the light and in the colors, as well as a great sharpness.

once I read in some place that if a people use his passport to visit in israel he can't use the same document to arrive in some arab countries, it is true ?
