a bored Egyptian guard on the Israeli border. I took this picture from the Israeli side, not far from Eilat.

The 200 km long border is very quiet. I guess that the only thing he has to do is to fight the flies.

Hello, Yitzhak -
Very interesting shot. The border fence makes for a good graphic leading the eye through the image off into the distance. Good sharp focus on the elevated guard hut, which provides a touch of color. I hope this guy's commander does not see this photo - he will be cleaning toilets for a month!

Quiet is good. I guess you're free to walk along the border, as long as you don't attempt to cross? I wonder if the guard has some games to play. I like the fence fading into the distance. Maybe a lower POV to isolate the guard and the cabin against the sky. TFS.
