It has to be a field somewhere, but the first thing I had to think about was horse-hair in the wind. Does it make sense? Probably not. But well, most of my mental connections do not necessarily make a lot of sense ;-).

How wonderfully poetic, I don't even need really to know where it is, a field I guess, but it's not important actually, because we enter such a special realm here...I don't know how to explain it with words, dreams, yes, your words are much better...and I understand Dennis : for me it could be a horses' mane too. A quality of deepness very strong.
