You must have heard
You must have known it by now
Times have changed and not for the better
Soon all of us will be without a shelter

What use to be our planet is not all it was cracked up to be
The icebergs are melting and the weather is drastic
Our cars, our electricity, our way of life is bringing us down
Where it use to be life is now slowly decaying

We will tell our children of how green everything use to be
We will tell them when the weather was nice
We will tell them but they will find it hard to believe
The reflections of how it use to be

An Inconvenient Truth. Indeed.
Take some time and watch http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/al_gore_on_averting_climate_crisis.html and see what you think will happen to us next.

Taken on the way to Eilat, on the south of the dead sea hotels.

A fine one Gilad. The contrast between the steel ball with reflection and the dry soil is great. It contrasts in shape, color, texture.

A good idea to illustrate your thoughts about global warming. This picture must have a market value sommewhere, for some campaign. It is just a question of finding the client!

Hello Gilad,
Really Gilad, I think that's the best photo I've ever seen... Just my opinion for sure, but your photo is just so excellent in everything.
Excellent, excellent... Thanks so much for it.

gilad

beautiful work, the reflections of the blue sky in the ball give us a sense of how fragille is our world, our blue sphere lost in the space. the dry ground produce a terrible contrast with the sky. very creative work

hugs

Hi Gilad,
much more than a photo, a message...
As a photo itīs great anyhow, but itīs convincing as a message as well.
Regards, Johannes

Great enviromental impact image. My aunt who visits the dead sea about once a year mentioned a few years back that it is receding quickly...and that if I want to go I should do it sooner than later! I think your picture captures this message very well. Rgds, Leilani

Hello Gilad,

Do you always carry a shiny marble with you?! :-)
Anyhow a nice touch to have one as you show us ;-).

And a nicely dramatic touch by Al Gore.

Greetings! Dennis

excellent combination, reflection of the sky is so dramatic.
is perfect for first page on national geographic.
