Photographer’s Note
Yes, I know that it is out of my usual style.
Yes, I know that it is a bit blurred.
Yes, I know that it is not leveled.
Yes, I know that it is noisy.
Yes, I know that the sky is too white.
But, I know that I love it.
You see..I'm searching for new fields.
Your honest critiques..pleas..

the photo that you take is more usefull to be an advertising photo, because the photo is minimalist image but meaningful....
(IMHO) in my honest opinion
Thanks

You have certainly tried some different styles in your latest postings, and I must say that this one rubs my aesthetic sensibilities the right way, noise, tilt, blur, the pose of the figure etc. It all really comes together to make an image with mood and personality, all the means of expression looks considered, not random despite the "loose" look.
There is a feeling of both freedom and openness but also loss and anxiety somehow makes it look like the opening or closing scene from an independent road-movie, but that is all right, I love it too. definitely appropriate for learning about the world through photography.

You have two very strong element here, with a very big area for the sky. As Dege suggested this is more of a "minimalism" and it calls for something else to occupy the space left above. The small tumbleweeb on the right hand side distracts from the human figure. The very little amount of color of the dark highway calls for a conversion to B&W. i did a WS.

Thank goodness that you are stretching yourself.
Thanks for showing us how blurry can lead to extra emotions.
Thanks for keeping this tilted, adding to the meaning and mood and quirkiness of the subject.
Thanks for the noise, with gives the photo immediacy.
Thanks for a white sky, which shows the subject walking into the light.
I love it too!

Creative compo Y. The hard contrast and (added) grain is just the right setting for this one. Well done.

Hi Yitzhak, great to see you try to change your style, that is one of the hardest things, to make new shots your own again. I think it's a beautiful one, although there's a sad feeling in it, at least tha's the feeling that I get here. I do not know if that is your goal, but that's what the picture evokes with me.

it's great! the contrast is good, the composition is so simple and it gives the feeling of solitude. it won't look as good if the sky were not so white. great job.

Yes, interesting and different. The Negev can be a place to be lonely with your self. It probebly can also work if the tilt was a bit stronger.

Quite an emotional piece Yitzhak, so much loneliness or something in this. The color of a blues mood too. I am not all sure about the cropping though, I can see some alternatives on the position of the horizon, both high and low. If you want him to move away into a new free life try cropping away most of the ground. If you want him to look really sad and burdened try cropping the sky just over his head instead.

Hi Yitzakh, you didn't have to explain it. i love it too. the kind of moody shot.
The white here is more of a strenght than not.
The level is.... perfect. the way it is.. it gives speed to the image..
I do like it.

As far as I am concerned: the white sky is perfect, the noise adds a "film like" feeling, and I don't find it is blurred: the silhouette is sharp, which is what counts.
The only thing that I would change is maybe remove color noise on the road.
Very artistic shot. Don't change anything, and let the emotion flow !
Sorry, no points left for today... I'll add them tomorrow !

And I like it too! :-)
This image looks like a 70’s art film. The roughness of the textures and noise, the feeling of loneliness and isolation is great in here. I think I would even go for a completely square format and centred horizon to increase the strangeness of the atmosphere. I think this is a line of work you could explore. For example, set some rules about the photos like format tones and try a series. It would be interesting.

Hello Ytzhak,
As you say, our pictures ar every similar, and we did it without even having seen them before. A little bit minimalistic, it looks more like imposing a certain style.
All the best - Izzet
