Photographer’s Note
Aside from being physically beautiful to wander in the Red Canyon and see the layering of colors on the canyon walls, it is also fun to slide down the slopes that are formed by the slow erosion of water and wind combined with sand on the soft (well realitively soft anyway) rock.
The Red Canyon gets its name from the red stained sandstone that makes up much of the landscape and provides you with a real treat when you find the wind and water etched canyon full of different shades of red and sometimes intermixed with other colors from minerals that have "stained" the walls
