Fighting for light II Photo

Photographer’s Note

Same rare rainy day in Eilat (as my previous post).
All day long, half the sky with heavy clouds but the sun fighting back and showing some blue sky.
Those 2 guys walking on the path are an amateur photographer and his friend. I waited until they walked far enough.

Very impressive capture. It look cold, dark and bold. The skies are contributing to the dramatic effect.

Very good shot.I like the point of view and DOF.Great composition and framing.I like the textures,light and sharpness.Very good colors and good contrast between them.I like a lot the sky,good clouds and blue.I like the ship.Well done!

Brilliantly vibrant colours in this shot and the ship is ideally placed, as are the two figures. I love the moody patterns in the clouds and the curve of the path leads the observer nicely into the picture. Very clear, very sharp and very very good. The frame presents it all perfectly. Thank you.

Great stuff, Efi. The composition would already be brilliant with the stone-bordered pier curving into the water, and the ship and the people perfectly positioned in the frame. But to have this light setting and the way in which it enhances the volume of the clouds is stunning. Colors and contrast are spot-on. I really enjoy this one a lot.

Now, there's an exciting sky. That almost dwarfs the landscape and the big freighter. Together it add up to an interesting composition that works as well as an hommage to man as a tribute to nature.

Sometimes we look at those huge ships and think how their are big and powerful. Than we look at the “whole picture” and realize that they are just a tiny dot in the world immensity (not even speaking of the universe…). And this one of the images which shows us that. Despite it’s a respectful and strong ship, it’s nothing compared to that fabulous sky! Great colors and light and good use of the lines to guide our eyes.

Wow, what a powerful sky. It really is a battle between the sun and the clouds. Your composition is really great with the breakwater curving into the scene. I really like the freighter out on the sea. It adds to the energy between the clouds and the light. And the breakwater also adds to that tension. Calmer and smooth on the left it is rougher and colder looking in the open sea. Then there's land and sea and even the human touch vs. the steely mechanical touch of the ship. Perhaps having moved a little to your right you could have gotten the breakwater to reach the left corner and gotten a more sweeping feel out of the curving perspective. But that's just minor and it really is a great battle and connection of different kinds of forces all connected extremely well by you.

Une très belle capture et toujours avec un cadrage bien pensé. Bien vu aussi dans l'éclaircissement des tons moyens.
Belle courbe qui s'avance vers nous.

Beautiful shot Efi!The sky is wonderful and the compo realy great with the walking path making a nice turn like a bow. And yes, i think it's the same ship that's in my photo taken from Aqaba:-)
