[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Last weekend we experienced quite a powerful storm that left a large percentage of the country covered in snow. This is Mount Hermon in the far north glowing in the early morning sunlight after having a hefty covering of fresh snow. We experienced that day quite a few scenes that you wouldn't associate with this part of the world.

Most importantly for some.......the ski season could finally be opened!!!!!

Very impressive and nice.
TFS! - Shir

Tony

Hello David,
Definitely an atypical rendition of your scenery. Most people think of the Sinai Desert or the Dead Sea when they think of Israel. Your excellent photo clearly illustrates that Israel is a very diverse country geographically. You did a beautiful job with this photograph. The composition, lighting and the skillful use of the compression effect from using a telephoto lens is very impressive! Excellent capture of this beautiful scenery!

Hi David!
All that snow is in Israel? Unbelievable! Beautiful landscape shot which shows us an unexpected side of your country.
Cheers
Andreas

Hi David - the Hermon looks mighty and impressive in your shot, and the special light gives it a delicate look at the same time... I was there today and this side, the side in the sun, has less snow already... cheers :) Daniel

Hi David,
Very rare image for the land of olive and orange trees. Wonderful texture to the snow cover mountain with the moving wispy clouds giving the illusion of high winds. Beautiful dreamy image taken in beautiful light.
Regards, Tom

Nice mountain view, espcially at the summit where the wind seems to be blowing away the snow.

All the best,

Emmanuel

Salam David,
Its a beautiful scene..gives a sense of vastness..I like the way you included the branches in the FG n the mild colours..I was always thinking of autumn as the best season for photography but this winter -that is a real cold snowy one in Iran-I have changed my mind n think of all seasons as the best!..TFS

AtousA
