Photographer’s Note
This is Sharon, and she is a rock climber.
The rock she is climbing is the Arbel cliffs. It's a place that regularly is not allowed to climb (not to disturb the special plants growing there, and also the endangered species of hawks) but for this shot, I got the approval.
This shot was taken for a campaign I'm shooting for the third year now, to the ministry of Tourism, Israel. The campaign is called "Love Israel from the first Shalom" and it shows people with interesting stories relating to beautiful, or important Israeli landmarks in the background. This one is for this year (2009) Ads.
You can find out more on that campaign here --> http://travel.nytimes.com/2007/07/30/business/media/30adv-w.html

I like the shot, with this strong vertical format, and the placing of the girl up there; also it's nice she wears the red shirt against the green and blue background... Regarding the effectiveness of this kind of campaign as promotional message for the country, I'm not that sure, but let's leave that to the marketing guys...
