Sunflowers are often shot in bloom.
You managed to introduce a new portrait of this beautiful flower, with a good use of DOF...
Today is the first day of autumn, for those who live in the northern hemisphere : it's sad to say good by to sun and summer, and your picture perfectly fits with that. This sunflower says "goodbye my Lord, the Sun".
Nice post, you couldn't have found a better day to post it!

Interesting macro. You have received a few nice details in the structure of this already mature Sunflowers and with the seeds on the verge of falling down and the contrasts you are obtained well.
